How soon will my Haus of Flame order be dispatched? We aim to fulfill orders within 3-5 business days, provided all items are in stock and no modifications are made post-order. Local Pickup Availability:
Can I opt for local pickup to avoid shipping fees? Unfortunately, we do not offer local pickup at this time. However, we now have a brick-and-mortar location where you can shop with us in-person. You can also find us at various local markets and our candles at select retailers throughout New Mexico. What are the best practices to maintain my candles? To keep your candles in pristine condition, avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, fluorescent lights, or places with high humidity and heat. Excess heat can soften the wax (above 80°F). Store them in a cool, dry area for long-term preservation.

What types of wax are used in your candles? Our candles are crafted from high-quality soy wax. The wax type for each candle can be found on its product page under Additional Info.

What varieties of wicks do you use in your candles? Our candles feature a range of wicks, such as cotton core, flat braid, wood wicks, and threaded cotton wicks. Each type offers unique benefits, from soot resistance to ensuring the wick stays centered. Rest assured, we do not use lead wicks, which have been outlawed in the U.S. for years.

Is it essential to trim the wick? Yes, it's generally advisable. Trim the wick to 1/4" before lighting and if you notice a carbon 'mushroom' or excessive length. Regular trimming prevents problems like flickering, smoke, and soot, and extends your candle's lifespan.

Why is there leftover wax on my candle's sides? Some residual wax, or 'hang-up,' is normal. However, excessive amounts or tunneling can be caused by various factors. We assure you that our candles, made with premium ingredients and thoroughly tested, are less likely to experience these issues.

Why does my candle occasionally emit smoke? This could be due to an improperly trimmed wick or drafts from windows, doors, or high-traffic areas. Keeping the wick trimmed and placing the candle in a draft-free area can help.

Do you ship daily, including weekends? We often ship daily, but we adjust our schedule during hot weather to prevent candles from sitting in hot conditions. We advise planning for someone to be available to receive deliveries, especially during summer.

Can you ship to PO boxes? Yes, we can ship to PO boxes as long as they can accommodate the package size. Please note that this may limit shipping option availability.

Can I repurpose or recycle my candle jar? While we don't recommend reusing the jars for candles due to safety concerns, they're perfect for various household uses. They can also be recycled with other glass items.
