Local Pickup Availability:

Can I opt for local pickup to avoid shipping fees? Unfortunately, we do not have the option for local pickup at this time. However, we plan on being part of many amazing local markets in the Albuquerque and Santa Fe area. Please follow our Instagram to stay up to date on those events.

Candle Care Tips:

What are the best practices to maintain my candles? To keep your candles in pristine condition, avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, fluorescent lights, or places with high humidity and heat. Excess heat can soften the wax (above 80°F). Store them in a cool, dry area for long-term preservation.

Wax Composition:

What types of wax are used in your candles? Our candles are crafted from various high-quality waxes. The specific wax type for each candle can be found on its product page.

Wick Specifications:

What varieties of wicks do you use in your candles? Our candles feature a range of wicks, such as cotton core, flat braid, and threaded cotton wicks. Each type offers unique benefits, from soot resistance to ensuring the wick stays centered. Rest assured, we do not use lead wicks, which have been outlawed in the U.S. for years.

Wick Trimming Necessity:

Is it essential to trim the wick? Yes, it's generally advisable. Trim the wick to 1/4" before lighting and if you notice a carbon 'mushroom' or excessive length. Regular trimming prevents problems like flickering, smoke, and soot, and extends your candle's lifespan.

Candle 'Hang-Up' Explained:

Why is there leftover wax on my candle's sides? Some residual wax, or 'hang-up,' is normal. However, excessive amounts or tunneling can be caused by various factors. We assure you that our candles, made with premium ingredients and thoroughly tested, are less likely to experience these issues.

Smoke Puffs from the Wick:

Why does my candle occasionally emit smoke? This could be due to an improperly trimmed wick or drafts from windows, doors, or high-traffic areas. Keeping the wick trimmed and placing the candle in a draft-free area can help.

Understanding 'Mushroom' Wick Heads:

What causes a 'mushroom' head on my wick after burning? This carbon buildup is common, especially in fragranced candles. It's a normal occurrence but should be trimmed off before the next lighting.

Preventing Candle Smoke Upon Extinguishing:

How can I extinguish my candle without causing smoke? Avoid blowing out the candle. Instead, use a wick snuffer or a fire/heat-resistant lid to suffocate the flame gently and safely.

Lead-Free Wick Assurance:

Do your wicks contain lead? Absolutely not. We are committed to using only lead-free wicks in our candles.

Carrier Oils Explained:

Carrier oils are base oils used in combination with essential oils to dilute them and make them safe for topical application. They help carry the essential oils onto the skin, allowing for better absorption and reducing the risk of irritation. Common carrier oils include coconut oil, jojoba oil, and almond oil.

Shipping Schedule and Considerations:

Do you ship daily, including weekends? We often ship daily, but we adjust our schedule during hot weather to prevent candles from sitting in hot conditions. We advise planning for someone to be available to receive deliveries, especially during summer.

PO Box Shipping:

Can you ship to PO boxes? Yes, we can ship to PO boxes as long as they can accommodate the package size. Please note that this may limit shipping option availability.

Estimated Shipping and Delivery Times:

How long does shipping typically take? Shipping times vary, but we generally am to ship orders within a few days, except in hot months. Delivery times can range from 1-7 days, depending on the carrier and your location. Tracking information will be provided.

Can I repurpose or recycle my candle jar? While we don't recommend reusing the jars for candles due to safety concerns, they're perfect for various household uses. They can also be recycled with other glass items.

Safety Advice on Candle Usage:

Why should I stop using the candle with a half-inch of wax left? For safety, to prevent heat damage to surfaces and potential glass breakage. Always use candles on heat-resistant surfaces.
